Certification of the eQart® concept has been completed with positive results

The independent certification body SGS has evaluated the AGV concept regarding the standards necessary for the European and North American markets.

The certification refers to compliance with both product, machine, and safety directives as follows:

Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC Annex I, EN ISO 12100:2010, EN 1525, EN ISO 13849-1:2015, EN 60204-1:2006+A1:2009, EN 1175-1-1998+A1-2010, ANSI C63.4, 47 CFR PART 15B

The certification refers to the modular concept AGV, and not a specific size. The concept consists of engine modules, batteries, a control unit, and sensors which are mounted on a trolley unit built with FlexQube’s patented building blocks. The certification covers AGV sizes from 840 x 840 mm, up to 2520 x 2520 mm.

CTO Per Augustsson comments, “This is very satisfying and an important milestone in the transformation from being a mechanical company to becoming a digital player with electrified and self-driving products. We started the journey two years ago, and now we have our first product ready to offer the market. This is just the beginning of a series of innovative products and services within the framework of the FlexQube 4.0 project”.

SGS, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, is a world leader in product verification, testing, and certification. The company has more than 97,000 employees and 2,600 offices and laboratories located worldwide.

About the AGV System

The AGV System is the first product to come from the project “FlexQube 4.0” and is an autonomous and remote-controlled cart that can be configured in almost any form, as it is built with FlexQube’s standard building blocks complemented with digital modules such as a motor, battery, controller, and sensors.

The goal of the AGV is to offer the most user-friendly automation solution for internal logistics. Customers receive the FlexQube concepts unique flexibility to build a large variety of customized top structures and sizes along with the AGV. The price for the AGV will be between $15,000 and $25,000 depending on the configuration.
