  • Chief Operating Officer

    About the job

    The position

    As Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible of our two production sites, one located in Gothenburg, Sweden and one in South Carolina USA. You will lead our Supply Chain and Operations Team that fulfils our orders. This includes all functions like order desk, planning, purchasing & sourcing, picking, assembly, shipping. You will also be responsible for our customer service and quality of delivered products and services.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Your primary goal will be to increase our organization’s productivity, efficiency, profitability but foremost our customer satisfication. You will advise the CEO on key operational insights as well as provide coaching to employees.

    Examples of main responsibilities:

    • Oversee, plan and evaluate day-to-day operations
    • Forecast and align capacity to demand
    • Align way of working and improve operations efficicency at our two fulfilment centers
    • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures to decrease cost of operations
    • Strategic and operational purchasing
    • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics and communicate KPIs to both the operations team and management
    • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
    • Manage relationships with suppliers
    • Lead and execute strategic initiatives (facility expansions, investments etc.)

    You will have personnel responsibility over our two Site Managers and other individuals who works within supply chain. You will report directly to our CEO and be a part of our management team. The job requires international travel on a regular basis. Your home office will be our site in Gothenburg, Sweden.

    Who are you?

    We are looking for an analytical, structured and action-oriented businessman/woman with a passion for delivering exceptional results. You have a very strong drive and is very competitive.

    You are comfortable working in a growing entrepreneurial organization with individual empowerment and accountability. You are self-sufficient with social skills and high work ethics. You need to be a strong communicator and be able to gain trust from internal and external stakeholders.

    To be successful in this position, you need to understand other business functions such as finance and sales and have a successful record of strategic planning and business development. We want you to be used in working with data analysis and performance/operation metrics. We believe you have broad knowledge in purchasing, supply chain and manufacturing and proven leadership experience. We need you to have strong negotiation skills and to be a natural project manager within your area. Fluent in English and excellent IT skills is mandatory.

    The position

     

    Our Chief Financial Officer is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company. It includes the development of a financial and operational strategy and metrics tied to that strategy and you will own the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. As CFO, you will be a part of the management team and will be greatly involved in setting the strategy and leading the company to further success. You will report directly to our CEO and you will work at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

    You will be responsible of:

     

    Planning

    • Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
    • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
    • Develop financial and tax strategies
    • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
    • Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company’s strategic direction

    Operations

    • Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations
    • Manage any third parties to which accounting, or finance functions have been outsourced
    • Oversee the company’s transaction processing systems
    • Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
    • Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions

    Financial Information

    • Oversee the issuance of financial information
    • Review and approve all tax filings and earnings reports etc.
    • Report financial results to the board

    Risk Management

    • Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile
    • Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
    • Construct and monitor reliable control systems
    • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
    • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
    • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
    • Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors
    • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

    Funding

    • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
    • Arrange for debt financing and equity financing
    • Invest funds

    Third Parties

    • Participate in conference calls with the investment community
    • Maintain banking relationships and other relevant relationships
    • Represent the company with investment bankers and investors

    You will also have personnel responsibility for our finance team in Sweden.

     

    Who are you?

     

    You have successful experince as CFO, or similar position, for at least 5 years. We see that you have a master’s degree in accounting or business administration. You are fluent in English and other language skills are a plus.

    You agree that communication is the key in leadership, and you have a high level of written and oral communication skills – something you demonstrate both internally and externally. You are managerially skilled with a natural ability to align, build and lead effective teams. Overall, you bring passion for the business.

    You are a doer with an exceptionally strong work ethic, and you inspire the same in others. Your “can do attitude” demonstrates your drive for continuously improving business performance. You look beyond the financial area, thinking about the business as a whole and you can proactively seek out opportunities and develop action plans to capture these. Not only do you have proven strategic abilities, but you also possess the discipline to ensure that the financial team breaks down results and provides comprehensive financial and operating input for the management team.

    To be successful in this position you need to have a positive attitude, high energy, and charisma. It comes naturally for you to establish a solid and sustainable network with both colleagues and partners.

  • FlexQube Sales Engineer (Various Locations)

    Who we look for

    To our innovative and fast growing company we are looking for a Sales Engineer with a very strong drive and commitment to customer service and growth. The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting the FlexQube concept and driving sales for FlexQube in the Region.

    What you will do

    • Managing current customer accounts but more importantly drive sales at new customers (most of our sales are direct to end customer)
    • Manage assigned Dealer relationships to help drive Sales
    • Build, maintain and develop customer relationships with key people related to material handling, lean processes, manufacturing and logistics in our industry segments. This means book meetings and manage customer accounts with Purchasers, Manufacturing Managers and Engineers on the customer side mainly.
    • Contact targeted customers using our defined sales process and work together with our global sales organization as many of our customers have locations in several countries
    • During customer meetings describe the FlexQube concept and gather information and requirements about the customers’ business and processes. Then manage the projects from start to finish by making sure our design team match the design of the solution with the requirement of the customer.
    • Manage projects involving automation with our new product eQart which is a autonomous solution for material movement, yet customizable since it is based off the same standard building blocks from FlexQube.

    You will be working in a global company with sales in 25 countries+

    • Work involves travelling up to 3-4 days per week
    • Use digital tools for our communication and processes, hence a modern approach to technology is needed.
    • Work with internal and external teams to advance the Flexqube sales proposition.

    Desired skills and experiences

    • High social skills and goal-oriented
    • Strong drive and highly motivated! Wants to be part of a company in strong growth (>100% annually)
    • Good at working without management / finding own solutions to problems
    • Preferably an engineering background and experience from lean manufacturing projects especially within material handling
    • Experience from automation projects including AGV/AMR or similar equipment is preferred
    • Experience from intralogistics and supply chain logistics
    • Interested in sales work, like prospecting, analyzing potential clients and reaching out to new customers (cold calling). The majority of our leads come to us at the moment so the cold calling is limited but still an important tool as we are still a small player in the market and knowledge about our existence is limited
    • Dedicated to customer satisfaction
    • We are looking for the engineer who is customer centric and want to see happy customers!
    • Four-year college degree preferred or four years of applicable work experience.
    • CRM experience (Salesforce)
    • Must be a team player that works well with Flexqube counterparts.
