7 – The number of all numbers!
The world’s favorite number and the basics of the FlexQube concept 7 days in a week. God created the earth in 7 days. 7 deadly sins. Break a mirror and you get 7 years of bad luck. 7 colors in the rainbow. 7 seas. 7 continents. You get my point here…
There are 7 wonders of the industrial world; SS Great Eastern, Bell Rock Lighthouse, Brooklyn Bridge, London sewerage system, First Transcontinental Railroad, Panama Canal and the Hoover Dam. But more famous are of course the 7 wonders of the ancient world; Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
In a poll 44 000 people were asked about their favorite number and of course, 7 was the most popular. When rolling two standard six-sided dice, 7 has a six in 36 (or 1/6) probability of being rolled (1–6, 6–1, 2–5, 5–2, 3–4, or 4–3), the greatest of any number.
The basis of the FlexQube concept is a Qube; a square shaped component, just like a dice. The dimension of the Qube is 7x7 centimeters. There is of course no coincidence that FlexQube has chosen 7 to be the basics of our concept. Using 7 as the basics in the concept for all of our components will give our customers the most versatile and flexible system. The modularity in the concept comes from the interface that appears on all standard components of the concept which together with the robustness of the parts creates a winning combination to design and build material handling carts and racks prepared for the 21st century. We present the 8th wonder of the industrial world.
